Aardman Heroes…

The Superhero Shows blog has a great video preview  of the Aardman spots made for Cartoon Network, which play like a super-hero version of Creature Comforts, not the best quaility but still awesome…

“Pythagasaurus”

While we await their CG Arthur Christmas and their clay-mated Pirates feature, Aardman tempts us with this superbly crafted short from director Peter Peake. Produced by Aardman’s commercials division during downtime between jobs; here’s sneak peek of the designs and a brief interview with Peake at 3D Artist Online

The Pirates!

Next year Aardman and Sony Pictures Animation will reveal The Pirates! In an Adventure with Scientists (aka The Pirates! Band of Misfits). Blind Date!

Here’s and awesome short from Nigel Davies’ out of Aardman Animations, where he’s rep’d as a commercial director. It’s a great example of what can be achieved, over other mediums, through animation. I’ve never seen anything in a style to this before, it’s awesome…

The Origins of Aardman!

If you’ve got some time on your hands check out this really interesting ‘History Of Aardman‘ as Mark Cosgrove interviews Aardman co-founder Dave Sproxton on how they started out and a whole host of interesting stuff along the way. Part 4 is pretty cool as it concentrates on Nick Park and how he got his start at the studio…

Losing Light with Nintendo…

Here’s another cool music video by Musician/animator Billy Polard. This is made entirely on his Nintendo DSi using an animation program called Flipnote Studio. It’s a pretty simple idea and the animation it quite limited but that doesn’t take anything away from it at all…

And here’s another cool example of how to use it, but this one’s by Aardman Animation… I LOVE IT!!!
